Almost everyone who gets a tattoo may need a touch-up. The natural healing process of the skin can cause irregularities in the tattoo that can only be corrected with a bit of extra ink work. Unlike getting a new tattoo, a touch-up usually involves adding small details or a bit of color to the existing ink.
That said, there are some things you can do to minimize the chance of needing a touch-up. The most important thing you can do is to literally follow the aftercare instructions provided by your tattoo artist. If you want to review these instructions, you can find them under the aftercare section on our website. If your tattoo doesn't heal properly, you are much more likely to have issues with the final result.
First, wait until your tattoo is fully healed before deciding to get a touch-up. Let Femme Tattoo Studio know within 4 to 6 weeks after getting your tattoo if you need a touch-up. If you are unsure about this, you can always contact us via WhatsApp or Instagram. When a touch-up is necessary, it must be done within 6 months of getting your tattoo. A fee of €10 will be charged for this service. If the touch-up is done after 6 months, a fee of €50 will be charged.
